I live in the NEK. Your post makes it seem like we're in Siberia!! Also, jay peak is a tiny part of the NEK but it gets all the attention because of the vast amount of monies being pumped in. Maybe WCVB would like to do a COMPLETE show on the stunning beauty found in the NEK, small businesses like ours trying to make sure the economy rebounds in even the smallest of communities in the NEK and how describing us as being "poor" and "remote" is hardly accurate !!!! Geez!!!!!
LOVE your candles Gary Briggs! Right on - do a complete show!
Vermont is so peaceful, no wonder why
This is God's country. Spent many weekends in Newport staying at the motel near the diner and fishing on the big lake. Love being there even when it is 30+ below zero.
One of the VT Tourist sections on a VPR made us sound like knuckle dragging neanderthals!! And I live in Newport! So many good things to highlight up here ......
Love it. Gorgeous state for sure but need to be near the ocean so I live in NH. I love visiting our neighboring state and often do.

Beautiful country! I remember a small co. from the NEK who made the best lavender organic shampoo, miss traveling to VT now that I'm in WI-also beautiful!

I miss it
I HAVE FAMILY THERE !!!
Great Video.. I left the NEK- Holland in December 2013 which Newport was always my home area. I do miss the quietness of Holland but glad I am out before the big movement. I understand growth is needed but I am glad I am not around to deal with it. I plan on visiting now and then to see the friends and family. Excited to see what home will look like.
My in laws live now they live Ct for years they said it needs a up grande.
Garrett Baxter, Angela Merryman you're being invaded by city folk!
